#cruelest death in the whedonverse #keeping tag because fuck yes it was #it wasn’t just her dying #it was the fact that the man she loved had to sit by and watch her die after just finally being able to be with her #it was the fact that no one could do anything about it #there was no actual way to stop the chain of events without killing hundreds of other people in her place #it was the fact that this virus spread slowly through her consuming every last piece of her and she had to sit by while it all happened #even though she’s never sat idly by in her entire life #it was the fact that she was a champion. #she stopped jasmine from taking over the world. #she was able to survive in a world where she was hunted for five years.#she was able to overcome that trauma and become an invaluable part of the team.#and then she died. #and everyone who loved her and everyone whose life she made better or touched in someone #had to watch her die and know they couldn’t do a thing about it #and then they had to watch something else wear her skin and inhabit her body and know that this demon was not fred #they had to know that fred had died to bring evil into the world. #fuck you joss whedon #and all these feelings you have given me
